Bio
Hello, my name is Carson Teuscher, and I’m a historian interested in alliances, coalition warfare, and multinational military operations in the modern era.
While my own research focuses primarily on coalition warfare in the Mediterranean during World War II, I’m broadly interested in military multilateralism, grand strategy, operations, interoperability, and military integration, especially ways in which allies and military partners develop systems that make fighting together, easier.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, I hold a Ph.D. in Military History from Ohio State University, an MSt in U.S. History from the University of Oxford, and a BA with Honors in History from Brigham Young University. Between 2020-21, I was a non-resident Hans J. Morgenthau fellow in Grand Strategy at the University of Notre Dame and a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow for the study of Advanced-level Portuguese through OSU’s Center for Latin American Studies. From 2022–23, I held a World Politics and Statecraft Fellowship from the Smith Richardson Foundation and in 2024 I was selected to attend the SMH Summer Seminar in Military History at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
